Best Performing Facebook Ad Audiences

After 4 years of successfully running Facebook Ads for plastic surgeons, I’m going to reveal some of the best performing interest and demographic-based (cold) audiences for specific procedures.

Before I dive into this, I want to start by saying that Facebook removes specific targeted audiences frequently so if you see something on this list that is not in Facebook’s audiences, Facebook has removed it.

So if you are doing or considering Facebook ads for your medical practice, now is the time, before Facebook removes any more specific audiences. * Case in point- last month Facebook removed my favorite audiences – People interested in plastic surgery, plastic surgery centers, waist cinchers- so great for tummy tucks! and body dysmorphia.

By having these removed, this just means we need to be more creative when selecting specific audiences. So, ok, waist cinchers are now removed, what could we use instead? Spanxs, Corsets, abdominal exercises, etc…

There is also a great software our agency uses for finding specific audiences called Interest Explorer that helps us research new audiences.

But for YOU, dear reader, you won’t be needing to purchase that since I am about to unveil the best audiences for specific procedures.

I should also note that since you are a local service business, you want to have an audience no less than 400,000 and no greater than 750,000 if you are using “conversions” as an objective. I could go on on ways to structure the ad campaigns, with Top of funnel, Middle of funnel, etc but for the sake of this article, I want to just stick to finding the right audiences. Also, the ad copy, images, and frequency, also have an impact on performance, so make sure that you aren’t running your ad frequency over 4, and have great ad copy and images.
